    NCCS Projects

NCCS is involved in a wide array of activities involving data collection and the development of the information and data to meet the needs of the nonprofit sector.

  • National Endowment for the Arts (NEA): Figures for Arts Funding in the United States.

    • National Endowment for the Arts (NEA): Figures for Arts Funding in the United States.

The NEA requested figures of contributions and earned income for arts organizations. For the 2007 estimates, out-of-scope organizations were excluded from the analysis. The estimates for Indirect Public Support (IndSupEstimate from the Core Files) were also removed from the contributions figure and the total revenue figure; this removes any double counting of donations from supporting organizations. Also, the total revenue estimate was calculated as the sum of the parts (contributions, dues, saving income, etc.).

Here is a link to the NEA chart we were replicating from 2004 data (page 10): http://www.nea.gov/pub/how.pdf
