Processing Options

Note: In no case will funds actually reside with NCCS. We simply process the payment that each state's payment gateway deposits in each state's account. (Options 2 & 3)
If filing in only ONE state...
1		Process credit card or ACH payments on each state's website. Click on link to right of state. RECOMMENDED if filing in only ONE state and state has capability. Who will transfer or see this information? State only.
2		Process credit card or ACH payments on each state's website. You will be sent an email with a custom link. ("Click HERE to pay $50 for your Colorado registration.") Who will transfer or see this information? State only.
If filing in more than one state...
3		Let this server process all credit card or ACH payments. The server will automatically create the transaction and send it to the payment gateway. The appropriate amount will be transferred from the charity into each state's bank account. Who will transfer or see this information? NCCS and the state.
4		Send credit card or bank account information to state. The state will process payment once your form has been accepted and you will receive notification by email. The credit card or ACH information passes through the IRS Fed-State Retrieval System. Who will transfer or see this information? NCCS, the IRS, and the state.
Or...
5		Mail in check with voucher form. Who will transfer or see this information? State only.

STATE CHARITY OFFICE NOTES:

Either the state or NCCS server can send provisional credit card transactions through a payment gateway:

If states need credit card information validated before it is passed through the IRS Fed-State Retrieval System (option 4), NCCS can execute a provisional transaction for validation purposes only, and then cancel the transaction.
The state can also execute a provisional transaction if it wishes to process payments contingent on receiving acknowledgement from the IRS that the 990 has been accepted by the IRS.
